2008 National Home Builder’s Association Homes for Life Award Winner!
In the course of providing a “user-friendly” and aesthetically pleasing space, Universal Design and “Green”/ Sustainable Design solutions were implemented throughout the project. Many considerations were taken into account including smooth floor transitions; possible future use of wheelchair or other mobility devices; accessible cabinets and workspaces; recycling and composting; sustainable, renewable, and green products; energy efficiency; and resale values. In addition, to provide solutions to certain specific issues, custom designed platforms and pull-outs were created and installed.
